I've now got a penchant for Mommy diaries. I don't know why, they're just so inspiring. I meant, in a technicoloured world, you think of motherhood as happy, clean little babies, out for Sunday walks, with a Mary Poppins-like mother. (Well, I do. Have you met my mom?) My two favourites are By First Light and Lizardspace. I think they're both fantastic... and pretty close to my age, too... sometimes I really admire people who have the guts to start Living early.
