R has been invited to the Sci-Fi Digital Press Tour in Vancouver, which is going to feature, amongst other things, interviews with the cast and production crew of BSG. There is also some unconfirmed talk that one of his models may be used in the series.
This means series flurries of activity, the designing of business cards, the buying of domains, the struggling with webpage editors and the swearing at said editors occupying 90% of my free time. The result is my ball-and-chain, sisyphean work-in-progress, Snider Enterprises. It obviously also means serious CG work for R, who is labouring away at his latest WIP as we speak.
So in 2 weeks, he will go gallivanting off to BC again, while I will be here, feeding his kitties and missing out.
The wedding was actually a good time, with no one pushed in the pond. It truly was fairly stress-free. And honeymoon in Vancouver was awesome - we geeked it up and visited a few Galactica sites, inc. Simon Fraser University (the quad in the mini-series where Caprica 6 breaks the baby's neck), the Vancouver Library (against which Helo and Sharon are profiled, on nuked Caprica), and the Orpheum Theatre (the opera house; they wouldn't let us in though, even though we called the City.) We saw Laura, which was great, and wandered through the markets, and ate way too much fish (their salmon sushi is so different!) We went up in a sea-plane to tour around Vancouver, and went to North Van on the seabus, and went to the biggest mall ever (Metrotown) on the Skytrain. We bussed it to Granville Market, and Stanley Park and the Aquarium, and drove out to West Van and had a fancy dinner with Laura, and walked everywhere else. We saw Spiderman, and went to Yuk-Yuk's. I miss it very much.
Being married isn't so bad - people asking if we're divorced yet is getting old, though...
